This study investigated the influence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on library services and academic achievement among students of Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria. Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected from a sampled population of 400 registered students through a structured questionnaire and analyzed with frequency counts, percentages, and Pearson correlation analysis. The findings indicate that key ICT facilities, including computer workstations, campus internet access, and electronic databases, are highly available and widely utilized, substantially enhancing the efficiency of library service delivery, remote information accessibility, and research activities. A statistically significant positive relationship was established between structured library ICT utilization and student academic achievement, strongly mediated by the development of critical digital literacy skills. However, core technical and structural bottlenecks, most notably unstable internet connectivity, widespread deficit in advanced technical skills, administrative distractions, and data security concerns, continue to hinder optimal implementation. The study concludes that while ICT represents a crucial infrastructure for accelerating academic performance, institutional safeguards are essential. It recommends that polytechnic management prioritize sustainable funding for higher-bandwidth infrastructure, integrated digital literacy workshops, and comprehensive user education monitoring programs.
