Inor group

Abstract This chapter covers the languages within the Inor group: Inor, Endegagn, Ener, and Gyeta. It also covers the palatalization, nasalization, and labialization of allophones. While Inor, Endegagn, and Gyeta speak their language for conversations, they use Amharic for written and oral activities. Additionally, Inor is known to have extensive position-based consonant mutations, which are also classified between weak and strong. The chapter also looks into how Inor nouns do not have gender or numerical markings on them, so gender and numbers are indicated through verb agreement with subject and object markers. Moreover, humans and animals have a few more suppletive plurals.
