
This study investigates the application of the Quadruple Helix Innovation Model (QHIM) to drive Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital integration in Civic Education among senior secondary schools in Osun State. A pre- and post-test quasi-experimental research design was adopted. The population comprised all Civic Education teachers and students in public secondary schools across Osun State. Six schools were selected, with 40 teachers and 260 SS2 students making up 300 respondents. Data collection employed a validated questionnaire (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.87). Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results revealed a significant positive relationship between Quadruple Helix stakeholder collaboration and effective AI integration in Civic Education (r = 0.682, p < 0.05). Students taught with AI-supported tools achieved higher understanding, engagement, and critical thinking compared to traditional methods (t(398) = 4.73, p < 0.05). The study concludes that integrating AI into Civic Education through Quadruple Helix collaboration enhances students’ civic competencies and digital skills.
