File boxes 01 to 33: Ts. and ms. files including academic work on Central Alaskan Yup'ik, the Eskimo Language Workshop, The Yup'ik Dictionary as well as administrative files from Irene Reed's years as the director of ANLC. This is an unsorted collection in 33 bankers boxes. File boxes 101 to 111: BIA ANCSA project files compiled by Irene Reed. These files are probably a subset of the Bureau of Indians Affairs (BIA) collection of data on Alaska Native historical places and cemetery sites across the state. The collection was assembled during implementation of Section 14(h)(1) of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) of 1971, an ongoing project funded by the Federal government. The effective date range of the data collection is 1975 to the present. Also included are oral history and tape transcripts. in 11 Bankers Boxes unsorted.
