Südafrikas Bildungspolitik steht vor der historisch einzigartigen Herausforderung, ein auf gezielte Benachteiligung der nicht-weißen Bevölkerungsgruppen eingerichtetes Schul- und Berufsbildungssystem zu transformieren und die Beschäftigungsfähigkeit junger Menschen zu stärken. Seit 2008 leistet das Ithuba Community College Johannesburg diesbezüglich einen lokalen Beitrag durch die Bereitstellung qualitätsvoller Allgemein- und Berufsbildung und verbindet dabei südafrikanische und österreichische Erfahrungen.
