Marqos prepares the cover for the open side of the beehive. He ties up a bundle of twigs with broad leaves and cuts the ends neatly so there is no danger of them poking his eyes up in the tree. He makes a loop so that it will be easy to haul the cover up by the gonti rope, and also fixes the suku ropes and the qoc'n stick on the bundle.
