Jangu told a group of Fungwa children, Samuel, Anita, and Yakubu the story of Laraba and the river God. This project focuses on the documentation of Cifungwa folktales. This is the story of a girl called Laraba. She gifted to her parent by Dodo, the river God with the caveat of getting married to Dodo at when she is old enough. The promise was broken and the river God decided to snatch her away. With the help of her friends, she escaped. Samuel and Anita were part of the audience. They both listened to Jangu's story. A village chief in Ringa village. He is a farmer, wood caver and he weaves mat. He is the father of Sahabi. He is a young farmer who speaks Cifungwa. He has spent most part of his life in Ringa community. Yakubu's hobby is playing football. He lived in Ilesa, Osun state for two months. Yakubu followed Samuel to Minna as a consultant and a research assistant for this project. The relocation to Minna was due to civil disorder and kidnapping in Alawa, a nearby community. Anita, a student at the Department of Linguistics, University of Ibadan, was born in Ibadan to Igbo parents. She has lived most of life in Ibadan. He is a native speaker of Yoruba from Ogun state.
