Securing transactions in distributed databases is a major challenge for financial institutions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This study, conducted at FINCA DRC, analyzes the contribution of the LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) directory service to identity management and transaction traceability,A conceptual approach was developed by integrating LDAP as a central authentication and authorization mechanism, coupled with the Two-Phase Commit (2PC) protocol and transaction logging. The proposed model links each transaction to a unique identity, thereby ensuring consistency and security. The expected results indicate that LDAP can provide centralized and unique authentication, improve the consistency of distributed transactions, and enhance traceability. Furthermore, LDAP auditing helps reduce fraud risks and facilitates regulatory compliance,Compared with traditional systems, the LDAP-based approach offers better traceability and improved organizational security. However, the identified limitations include network dependency and risks associated with data replication. Future perspectives include the integration of Artificial Intelligence for automated fraud detection, the use of blockchain technology to strengthen transaction integrity, and the extension of the architecture to private cloud environments,Therefore, the integration of LDAP into distributed databases represents a robust and suitable solution for enhancing the security and traceability of banking transactions at FINCA DRC.
