In Nigeria, secondary school leadership heavily relies on effective communication as a major factor. It has a direct impact on the performance of teachers, the outcomes of students, and the whole effectiveness of the school. The present research is aimed at investigating the role of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in developing the communicative strategies of the principals for the efficient management of the school. AI tools, namely: automated messaging systems, virtual assistants, data analytics, and translation apps can make communication processes clearer, more timely, personalized, and inclusive, as well as enabling management of feedback, emotional awareness, and the like. With backing from the Transformational and Instructional Leadership theories and guided by the Technology Acceptance and Diffusion frameworks, the study points out how AI can reinforce good leadership practices while also stressing the need for digital competence, ethical use, infrastructure, and policy support. The paper reveals that AI acts as a key enabler for evidence-based, effective, and inclusive communication with the potential for transforming school leadership and raising the standard of secondary education in Nigeria.
