Datasets underpin a thesis titled "Framework to support critical care transport professionals to enhance resilience in the fixed-wing air ambulance environment in South Africa".Phase 1:Step one: A survey was conducted using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD RISC) (Connor & Davidson, 2003) to measure the current level of resilience amongst critical care transport professionals (CCTPs) in the fixed-wing air ambulance environment (quantitative data) in South Africa.Step two: Self-reported interview guide with three open-ended questions (qualitative data) about the facilitators of and barriers to resilience in the fixed-wing air ambulance environment, as well as what CCTPs feel managers can do to enhance resilience in this environment.Phase two: e-Delphi dataPhase three: Development and reviewPhase three was conducted in two steps.Step one: The researcher used the baseline data gathered in phases one and two and developed a framework in collaboration with SMEs during a consensus workshop. Consensus was reached on the components and elements of the framework, and the framework was developed.
