Lisa's stories transcription ailoa0505 Documentation of Eibela

This is the audio recording of the transcription process of session ailoo0504 along with the resulting transcription in ELAN. This project consists in the documentation of Eibela, also called Aimele (ISO-639 AIL), as part of a PhD project at James Cook University which will ultimately result in a grammar of the language along with a dictionary and a corpus of texts. Eibela is a severely endangered language with 300 speakers in Lake Campbell, Western Province in Papua New Guinea. The transcription is provided as two ELAN files. ailoa0505-1.eaf is the ELAN file with phonetic transcriptions and free translations, while ailoa0505-2.eaf is created by importing a flextext file with annotations from Fieldworks Language Explorer. There are three media files for the ELAN transcriptions: ailoa0505.mp4, ailoa0505-1.wav, and ailoa0505-2.wav. ailoa0505.mp4 is a video file, which is a reduced-size version of file ailoo0504.mp4 in session ailoo0504. ailoa0505-1.wav and ailoa0505-2.wav are two amplified audio files corresponding to the original recordings ailoo0504-1.wav and ailoo0504-2.wav in session ailoo0504. The audio recordings ailoa0505-3.wav, ailoa0505-4.wav, ailoa0505-7.wav, ailoa0505-8.wav, and ailoa0505-11.wav are recordings of discussions had with Jake during translation and transcription of session ailoo0504. Files ailoa0505-5.wav, ailoa0505-6.wav, ailoa0505-9.wav, and ailoa0505-10.wav are recordings of discussions had with Stalone during translation and transcription of session ailoo0504. Stalone and Jake are Eibela men living in Lake Campbell who are translating the story and answering questions regarding the Eibela language.
