Lyre performance by Biittso Ist'into and Worada Gebiro BI2012-01-22_001-003

Biittso Ist'into and Worada Gebiro perform five lyre songs. Biittso and Worada play the lyre alternately. The first file is a solo performance of an autobiographical song in the c'aaggo c'alti rhythm by Biittso. The second file is a solo performance of a autobiographical song in the zari woysa ('lowland flute') by Worada. Next Biittso and Worada perform together the sibts'ire-song and the Baskeet woysa-song ('Baskeet flute'), Bittso leads the song, Worada replies and claps the rhythm. The last file shows a performance of a lyre song in the aakkwase-rhythm by Worada. Biittso is a potter and a passionate musician. He plays the lyre and the bamboo trumpet. As a bamboo trumpet player here is a member of trio who performs at mourning ceremonies and at cultural events. Worada is potter, a bamboo trumpet and a lyre musician.
