Lyre performances by Dagintsane Gashkamo and Dabts'a Hayro DG2011-12-19_001-004

Dagintsane Gashkamo performs four lyre songs, a song of the zaari baac'i-ryhthm (file 001), of the kaldi baaba-rhythm (file 002), the angiza-rhythm (file 003) and the kaa'ooda-rhythm (004). Then her husband Dabts'a Hayro takes over and plays two songs of the kaldi baaba-rhythm (001) and the kaa'ooda-ryhtm (002). Dagintsane Gashkamo is Dabts'a Hayro's husband. Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France.
