A scoping review of the existing literature on the association between nutritional status and nutrition-related knowledge, attitudes, and practices among individuals on tuberculosis treatment in Sub-Saharan Africa. The objective of this review is to map existing evidence and identifying knowledge gaps on the researched phenomena. The study will adopt a methodological framework developed by Arksey and O’Malley, (Arksey & and O'Malley, 2005). To guide the scoping review, Arksey and O’Malley proposed five stages; (i) identify the main research question; (ii) identify relevant studies; (iii) select eligible studies; (iv) selection of sources of evidence and (v) ethical considerations. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) checklist will be used to present the results of this scoping review. For the proposed scoping review, the researcher will not conduct quality appraisal as the main objective of this review is to map existing evidence and identify knowledge gaps on the research phenomena.
