By following the PCC (population, concept, context) framework(Moola et al., 2024), we will conduct a scoping review to systematically map postgraduate courses in infectious diseases epidemiology in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. Specifically, the review will be conducted; 1) to identify and the existing postgraduate courses at both master and PhD levels that are focussing in infectious disease epidemiology or have significant modules in infectious disease epidemiology in the SADC region, 2) to describe the nature of these courses, which includes the geography, length, mode of delivery (online, in-person, or a combination of both), and core components of these courses, and 3) to identify gaps in the current educational landscape, specifically in terms of alignment with the most common infectious diseases in certain SADC countries.
