Memorandum of cooperation template

D3.1 deliverable - Working Package 3. This document presents what consists a Memorandum of Cooperation in the context of the NATAE project, building on Participative Guarantee Systems (PGS) developed in 2018 by the Network of Agroecological Initiatives at Morocco (RIAM) and its partners in Morocco, which are devices or schemes collectively designed and managed for labelling agroecological farm at regional levels. The first chapter presents scientific references that prove many PGS features are adapted to the context of the NATAE project, referring to project scientific and operational purposes, to Living Lab (LL) governance approach (WP4) and the connexion with the other living labs activities, especially in the field of food systems (WP3). The second chapter is an advocacy for PGS based on the RIAM capitalisation over its experience. The appendixes dedicated to PGS developed by RIAM give illustrations of main elements needed to complete a memorandum of cooperation in NATAE project, and in particular, a values charter, the specifications defining the requirements for compliance with agroecological practices (AEPs) and a governance system.
