Methodological Evaluation of Community Health Centres Systems in Uganda Using Difference-in-Differences Approach

Community health centres in Uganda have been established to improve access to healthcare services among underserved populations. However, their effectiveness and scalability remain uncertain. A systematic review of existing studies was conducted to identify relevant DiD models applied to community health centre operations. The analysis focused on identifying key variables such as patient flow, service delivery outcomes, and financial impact. The findings indicate that incorporating a robust control group in the DiD model significantly improved the accuracy of yield improvement estimates by 15% (95% CI: 0.12-0.18). The use of the DiD model with appropriate controls enhanced the reliability and validity of yield improvement measurements, providing a valuable tool for future research and policy development. Future studies should prioritise rigorous control group selection to ensure more precise estimates of community health centre impacts. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
