Rwanda's transport sector faces challenges in maintaining its road infrastructure, necessitating efficient maintenance depot systems. A randomized field trial design was employed to assess the performance of various maintenance depots in Rwanda. Data were collected using standardised surveys and operational metrics. The analysis revealed that depots implementing predictive maintenance models achieved an average efficiency gain of 15% compared to traditional methods, with a confidence interval of ±3% This randomized field trial provides empirical evidence supporting the effectiveness of predictive maintenance in Rwanda's transport sector. Transport authorities should introduce and promote predictive maintenance systems to enhance depot operational efficiencies. Rwanda, Transport Maintenance Depots, Randomized Field Trial, Predictive Maintenance The maintenance outcome was modelled as $Y_{it}=\beta_0+\beta_1X_{it}+u_i+\varepsilon_{it}$, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
