Through a mixed-methods approach, our study will describe the epidemiology, determine the impact of migraine on school-going adolescents, and identify gaps in existing systems of care in Cameroon, using the North West region as a case study.
The findings from this study will be used to design and implement a school-based, school-driven headache program to address the complex needs of students with migraines within the school milieu. Also, we expect the findings from this study to inform public health initiatives and future research projects aimed at advancing headache care in resource-constrained settings such as Cameroon.
