The three recordings are different speeches about the indigenous candidate for Mitu mayor, Jaime Jaramillo, a former catholic priest form the Bara ethnic group. The recordings are very nice examples of current language use in a new social context. Kubeo is the language of the majority of the indigenous people living in Mitu, as well as it functions as a lingua franca. I collected the recordings from the vehicle that was broad casting this advertisement in Mitu streets. Language_Name: Kubeo
