This documentary by Kwetu Film Institute evidences the impact of the Mobile Arts for Peace (MAP) project in Rwanda. It captures the use of arts-based and local approaches for peacebuilding with an emphasis on the testimonies from youth participants, educators, artists, and civil society leaders. Rooted in local values, these approaches foster friendship between students and teachers, enhance child participation, and create safe spaces for dialogue, storytelling, and mutual support. By engaging young people and educators in these processes, MAP nurtures productive learning experiences and helps communities to reflect on, share, and promote everyday peace. MAP in Rwanda aimed to work with young people, educators, cultural artists, and civil society organisations to inform the National Curriculum Framework in Music, Dance and Drama. The project was carried forward in collaboration with local and international partners, shaping a transformative journey of education and peacebuilding.
