Mothers' Knowledge and Practice on the Importance of Exclusive Breastfeeding in Mile 2 Community, Limbe, Cameroon

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding, defined as feeding an infant only breast milk for the first six months of life, remains among the most cost-effective interventions for reducing infant morbidity and mortality. Despite global and national promotion efforts, exclusive breastfeeding practice continues to fall below the World Health Organization's recommended targets in many low- and middle-income settings, including Cameroon, where infant mortality remains comparatively high. This study assessed mothers' knowledge and practice regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding in Mile 2 Community, Limbe, South-West Region, Cameroon.
