This project evaluated some freely available satellite measurements, observations, and tools useful for flood management in sparsely gauged to ungauged river basins in developing regions. It also presented a framework on how these products could be implemented in an early flood warning system. Since the United Nation's initiative ("Early Warnings for All") is to make early warning available for all by 2027, satellite products could prove invaluable for regions without the network of ground monitoring systems. This project is relevant to research scientists, and local, state, and regional disaster managers as well as policymakers. The associated data could be used for research and educational purposes.
