Nigeria Deliberative Town Hall Baruten/Kaiama: National v. Ethnic Identity

On 3 February 2024, we organized a hybrid online/in-person Deliberative Town Hall (DTH) in Baruten/Kaiama, Nigeria. The topic was the policing infrastructural development. To study the effects of attendance at this event, we embedded it within a field experiment, with both a pre-event and a post-event survey. The experiment includes outcomes that are grouped in several different families, and this registration primarily concerns the effects of attendance at the DTH on sense of national versus ethnic identity.
