Novel Indices for Microalgal Research

This interactive Google Colab notebook demonstrates the application of the 25 novel ecological indices developed for freshwater ecosystem assessment. It includes executable Python functions for all indices (e.g., MEII, DCBI, IERI), example calculations using field data from Oyan Reservoir, Nigeria, and visualizations of pollution impacts and biodiversity trends. The notebook supports open science, education, and real-time monitoring by enabling researchers and water managers to compute and validate the indices without local software installation.
