Emma tells the story about how the awamɨ fish (Tok Pisin kondon) originated. Before, there were no awamɨ fish in the Sogeram. When women would go bathe, they'd take the top half of their skulls off and put all the skull-tops into a big netbag and bathe together. Afterwards they would return and lie to their husbands, saying there was no fish to be caught. One day their husbands ordered them to go catch some fish for them, and they followed the women and chased them, and saw how the women would start to remove their own skulls.
