This research aimed at investigating the genetic diversity levels and adaptability of native sheep breeds sampled from different climatic regions. To maintain the integrity of genetic diversity within each breed, meticulous care was taken to ensure that samples were derived from genetically distinct individuals. The sampling procedure involved puncturing the jugular veins of individual animals to extract blood samples. The whole processes of DNA extraction, genotyping, and the transformation of raw signals into the Ovine50K genotype were entrusted to Neogen Company Limited. The company employed the Infinium assay protocol for these procedures. Genotypic determinations were made using the ovine Oar_v3.1 assembly, which served as the reference genome
