This dataset contains longitudinal panel data for 13 resource-rich African economies over the period 2005–2023. The data was compiled to investigate the "Twin Transition Paradox"—the interaction between digital infrastructure, institutional quality, and environmental sustainability. The dataset supports empirical analysis using System Generalized Method of Moments (System GMM) to test the mediating role of Green Supply Chain Upgrading (GSCU) in decarbonization. It includes raw macroeconomic indicators sourced from the World Bank and constructed composite indices. Sampled Countries: Algeria, Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Tunisia, and Zimbabwe. Data Sources: World Bank World Development Indicators (WDI): For energy, education, manufacturing, digital, and economic variables.
