Background: Prostate cancer is the most prevalent malignancy in elderly men in most parts of developing world. Notwithstanding, the existing epidemiological conclusion in our community is scanty. This study aimed to describe the age, frequency, morphological pattern and Gleason score of prostate cancers in Kano, Northwestern Nigeria. Materials and Methods: This was a 15-year retrospective review of the confirmed prostate cancers in Kano, Nigeria from 2001 to 2015. Results: Atotal of 514 cases of prostate cancers were diagnosed during the period, which equals 15.6% of the total confirmed male cancer cases in Kano.
