Pediculaster kneeboni (Wicht, 1970)
Pediculaster monoufiensis Sevastianov and Abo Korah, 1985: 38, fig. 3 syn. nov.
Sevastianov & Abo-Korah (1985) described Pediculaster monoufiensis Sevastianov and Abo-Korah, 1985 from Egypt. My examination of phoretic female holotype of P. monoufiensis revealed its conspeceficity with P. kneeboni (Wicht, 1970) redescribed by Martin (1978). Therefore I consider P. monoufiensis syn. nov. as a junior synonym of P. kneeboni.
Material examined. Phoretic female holotype of P. monoufiensis, slide 1071, EGYPT: vicinity of Shibin-el- Kom, on jimson weed Datura stramonium (Dicotylédones: Solanaceae), 30 September 1979, Coll. S.M. Abo- Korah.
