This draft manuscript presents the methodology and outcomes of the People’s Water Data initiative, a scalable student-led program for household drinking water quality monitoring across India, Uganda, and Israel. The study highlights how non-experts, trained through a hybrid course, can generate reliable and reproducible data while raising water literacy and supporting behavioral change in communities. The paper details training, sampling, cross-validation, and community feedback processes, with results demonstrating the potential of democratized science to advance global water security.
