This photographs shows Parada Zerihun. Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France. Parada Zerihun plays the solo shulshula-flute and the lyre. He learned to play the lyre from his grandfather and the shulshula-flute from his father. Parada Zerihun and Messele Lipaato were the best solo shulshula-players recorded in the course of the project.
