Pokot Pluractionality Dataset

This dataset covers patterns of pluractionality marking in Pokot (poko1263, Nilotic, Kenya).  The dataset lists 760 examples coming from a fieldwork trip to Nairobi in August/September 2022 and the properties of the pluractionality marking found in the examples. Pluractionality in Pokot can be marked in two different ways: by an overt pluractionality marker sete, whose exact phonological form depends on its phonological context, or by full reduplication of the root. The pluractionality marking includes a linking vowel a that appears between the reduplicant and its base for short-vowelled verbal stems. The linking vowel also appears with reduplication of stems with long vowels, as well.
