Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) transforms human resource management (HRM) by streamlining processes and enhancing organizational efficiency. AI systems can perform tasks such as problem-solving, decision-making, and advanced language processing, which humans traditionally did. Deep learning, a specialized machine learning, excels at recognizing speech and images and is increasingly used in chatbots and virtual assistants, particularly in Papua New Guinea (PNG). However, integrating AI in HRM raises ethical concerns, including data privacy, algorithmic bias, and high computational demands. Organizations must address these issues to ensure responsible AI use in HR practices. This paper presents a case study from Papua New Guinea, exploring AI's current and future impacts on HRM. Adopting AI is essential for businesses aiming to stay competitive in a digital marketplace, prompting HR departments to assess its effects on recruitment, training programs, and workforce management. To fully leverage AI's potential, organizations must overcome challenges such as infrastructure limitations, the need for training in AI tools, and cultural factors affecting employee acceptance. By addressing these obstacles, businesses in Papua New Guinea can optimize their HR operations and drive success.   Keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Human Resource Management, Papua New Guinea
