Prevalence and Distribution of Cattle Ticks in Sudan: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

In this systematic review and meta-analysis our aims are to synthesize five decades of fragmented research to provide the first comprehensive national assessment of tick epidemiology in Sudanese cattle since the 1950s. By aggregating data across Sudan’s diverse ecological zones, the project will calculate the pooled prevalence of key tick species and identify their geographical distribution. Furthermore, the study will analyse critical risk factors including climatic shifts and management systems that drive infestation. The primary outcome is to bridge significant knowledge gaps and provide an evidence-based framework for veterinary authorities.
