Evidence on loneliness in Nigeria remains concentrated in older or selected populations, leaving uncertainty about its distribution and correlates across the adult life course. This cross-sectional online study estimated loneliness and examined sociodemographic, social, behavioural and psychological correlates among 1,200 digitally recruited adults residing in Nigeria. Loneliness was measured with the Three-Item Loneliness Scale (UCLA-3).
