The aim of this scoping review is to compile the evidence linking socioeconomic status to the prevalence of lymphatic filariasis in Africa. This evidence will be used to inform the development of a mathematical model for lymphatic filariasis dynamics to study the effects of poverty on long-term elimination goals. This scoping review is one component of a dissertation project for the MSc in Global Health Science & Epidemiology programme at the University of Oxford.
