Held from 9th to 10th February 2026, the conference was organized under the theme “Engineering Innovation and Economic Policies: Driving Sustainable Industrial Growth in Nigeria.” The conference brought together participants from academia, industry, and government institutions, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on the role of engineering in supporting national economic transformation, technological advancement, and sustainable development. The technical sessions featured peer-reviewed papers covering diverse areas of engineering, including industrial development, energy systems, infrastructure innovation, agricultural mechanization, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, engineering entrepreneurship, and sustainable development solutions. This volume of proceedings contains selected peer-reviewed papers presented during the conference. The contributions highlight emerging research trends, practical engineering solutions, and policy-relevant insights aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s industrial capacity and technological competitiveness. The proceedings serve as an important knowledge resource for academics, practitioners, policymakers, and students interested in advancing engineering-driven development. The Faculty of Engineering, Bayero University, Kano, remains committed to promoting research dissemination, innovation, and collaboration among stakeholders. It is hoped that the ideas presented in this volume will stimulate further research, strengthen academia–industry–government partnerships, and contribute to sustainable industrial growth in Nigeria and beyond.
