Python Code for SPI-Based Drought Analysis in Borena and Guji Zones, Ethiopia

This repository contains Python code used for the computation and analysis of the Standardised Precipitation Index (SPI) for drought assessment in Borena and Guji Zones, Southern Ethiopia.

The code processes CHIRPS precipitation data and generates SPI at 3-, 6-, and 12-month timescales for spatio-temporal drought analysis.
