The Q0 climate-parasite model was run using daily minimum and maximum temperature and precipitation data over 1981-2070 from Dosio et al. (2022), who created bias-adjusted Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment (CORDEX) models for Africa. The baseline period (1981-2010) of the dataset is driven by the observed atmospheric composition, while the projections (2006-2100) are forced by Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 8.5, i.e. a high greenhouse gas emission scenario. To run the Q0 model using a model ensemble of the climate data, 18 of the 22 available models from the Dosio et al. (2022) dataset were combined using the 'ensmean' function of Climate Data Operators (Schulzweida, 2023) software. The spatial extent of the data spans continental Africa, at a spatial resolution of 0.44 degrees.
