Early detection of pregnancy status may help women initiate earlier antenatal care and healthy pregnancy behaviors, which could lead to healthier mothers and infants. We analyze cross-sectional data collected from 1,008 women ages 18-35 who are most likely to be uncertain about their pregnancy status (i.e., they are sexually active, not currently using long-term family planning, have not recently given birth, and are able to get pregnant), residing in Northern Uganda between May and June 2019.
The survey asked women if they had knowledge of or had ever used a home pregnancy test kit, patterns of use, and possible barriers to using or purchasing a home pregnancy test kit. STATA, 17
