This scoping review maps the available evidence on the roles of community leaders and community-based actors in behavior change communication (BCC) interventions for child care practices in Sub-Saharan Africa. The review followed the Arksey and O'Malley framework with enhancements by Levac et al., and is reported in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Eligibility was guided by the Population-Concept-Context framework. MEDLINE (PubMed), Scopus, Web of Science, and EMBASE were searched, and two reviewers independently screened records and charted data. Fourteen studies from eight Sub-Saharan African countries were included.
