This is a study that involves secondary data analysis. It uses data from the African Long Life Study (ALLS), which is a large-scale psychological survey that consists of longitudinal data on young adults living in Kenya, Namibia, and South Africa. The ALLS aims to investigate the psychological development of people living in these understudied countries. Data for the ALLS is being collected in 10 waves, over a 5-year period at 6-month intervals, with data up to wave 4 being available by the time the analyses will be performed. The purpose of this study is to investigate and explore the life satisfaction of populations in Africa across time, gender, self-reported English language proficiency level, urban and rural communities, maternal level of educational attainment, and countries.
