As part of the scientific priority setting exercise on food security and nutrition, Alliance Accelerating Excellence in Science in Africa (AESA), in partnership with the African Academy of Sciences (AAS), African Union Development Agency - New Partnerships for African Development (AUDANEPAD) and global partners, hosted an experts roundtable with scientific leaders in Africa. This engagement was aimed at reviewing scientific priorities set by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Agenda 2063, Science Technology and Innovation Strategy for Africa (STISA) 2024, and various other regional and international
instruments relevant to this scientific priority area. The six-panelist expert roundtable held on the 30 June 2020, was attended by 58 people with diverse expertise in the area of food security and nutrition. The meeting successfully captured the attendees’ contribution through a short interactive survey as well as a question and answer session.
