This is a short excerpt from a recording of the morning meal in Dorothy/Avayim's kitchen house. Matthew and Wesli are sitting in the foreground, with Paul, their father, just behind Matthew. Paul is practicing a traditional song as everyone's attention is drawn to the kids who have come over to sit around the fire. Various things happen in succession: a child gets close to the camera so Paul and Matthew coax him away; Wesli cuddles a baby; Dorothy roasts some fish in the fire and yells at one of the other kids about something she's looking for; Paul continues practicing his singing. There is switching back and forth between Chini and Tok Pisin.
