Introduction: There is a dearth of literature on the relationship of post-Covid-19, social media, and sustainable development (SD), which necessitated this investigation into the relationship of social media, capacity building, and SD in the post-Covid-19 era in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Methods: The descriptive research design of the survey type was adopted. Three research hypotheses were raised. The sample was composed of two hundred (200) respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. From eleven (11) L.G. areas, five (5) L.G. areas in Ibadan, Oyo State, were randomly selected. Five (5) public organizations and five (5) private organizations were selected from each local government area, and then 20 respondents were randomly selected from each of the selected organizations. This was repeated across all the selected L.G. areas. The self-designed scale (CSHCSDQ) was used to collect data and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Hypotheses were tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) and regression analysis. Results: Results showed a significant relationship between independent variables (Covid-19, social media, and capacity building) and SD. A relative contribution of social media and capacity building on SD and a significant joint contribution of Covid-19, social media, and capacity building on SD were observed. Conclusion: Essentially, measures to manage the post-traumatic effect of the pandemic and the social consequences should be increased. Therefore, funding all levels of economy, health, education, and regular updates of social economics were recommended.
