This dataset contains 3,031 social media comments collected from Twitter and YouTube between January 2022 and June 2025, focusing on public discourse around food inflation, food security, and governance in Ghana. The data were scraped using Instant Data Scraper and YouTube API, then cleaned and preprocessed (tokenization, stopword removal, lemmatization). Each entry includes the original comment text, platform source, timestamp, and computed sentiment polarity scores using VADER. Additionally, topic identifiers from Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) modeling are provided to capture thematic structures. This dataset supports research in computational social science, economic sentiment analysis, and policy evaluation.
