1) Characterize dynamics of C and N contents in soil in relation with rainfall, soil moisture, vegetation and livestock attendance. C & N dynamics through mineralisation of the organic matter are important factors that control vegetation and soil functioning and surface-atmosphere interaction. 2) Soil P content also controls vegetation productivity. This dataset is part of the AMMA-CATCH eco-hydrological observatory over West Africa Field measurements in soils are performed every month during the rainy season and every two months during the dry season. Complementary data are monitored by partners : Climatic data, soil moisture and CO2 fluxes (IGUC team) , N and P wet and dry deposition (IDAF team).
