The HPC Resources in Africa – Discovery Survey is a collaboration between five projects/networks: H3ABioNet, DS-I Africa, eLwazi, HPC Ecosystems Project in South Africa, and African BioGenome Project. This survey is intended to be the first survey in a series of surveys that will be periodically re-run. The primary goal is to map the existing scientific computing infrastructure on the African continent for computing and analysis of various life sciences data in Africa. This initial survey is intentionally broad and generalized, and has been widely distributed with the primary focus of mapping existing infrastructure across the continent.
