This is primary data collected from cocoa farmers in 11 cocoa districts across 5 Ghana cocoa-producing regions ((Ashanti, Western South, Western North, Bono and Ahafo ). The data was used to analyze cocoa farmers' willingness to invest and their ability to invest in solar-based irrigation technology in Ghana. Willingness and ability to invest define effective demand, which is necessary to design appropriate business and financing models for solar-powered irrigation pumps among cocoa growers.
